Do you think about the future or the past more? And why? It really is an interesting thought process. If you picked the past, you may be dwelling on a specific event or even an array of events that left a significant impact on you. Or you are currently in a situation that you find yourself unhappy in, reminiscing about the joy and beauty you experienced in the past. Maybe you just like to think you cheeky bastard.
If you picked the future, you might be anxious about what’s to come. The fear of what must be accomplished and if you will be capable of such a grandeur path. Or you are hopeful for what’s to come, the beautiful experiences you are going to embark upon. Maybe you want to be a filmmaker and you overly idealize that (totally not me).
The truth is that the answer to that initial question always changes. That is one of the most definitive examples of you being alive. We have an impenetrable, dense collection of memories, pinned moments in time that shape us. We inevitably think about the future or past because we are constantly living, experiencing, and learning. It’s all a bipolar abyss quite frankly (probably could make that sound better) The concept of life is tricky, convoluted, messy. Or is the concept of life beautiful, surprising, and breathtaking. You see what I mean.
Let me know what your answer is.
